Large game sites receive copies of the latest video games for free and often receive money for simply advertising the same games. Moreover, the large established websites are usually under very short deadlines in which to play and review a game.

Where does this leave the serious gamer who wants to know what is still good after two years? What about those on a budget? The large sites can tell you what is fun to play for two days and can recommend what is good at full price, but I aim to take a step back and look at things from the perspective of one who wants real, lasting value out of any purchase.

Finally, with all of the controversy surrounding payola conspiracy theories, you can be sure that the most I will ever make from this site will be a few pennies from Google Ads, if I ever put them up.
